XSET Announces Minna Stess

14-Year-Old Female Skateboarding Phenom Minna Stess Joins XSET

Boston (August 6, 2020) -- Minna Stess, a 14-year-old female skateboarding phenom and the youngest member of USA Skateboarding, has joined the talent roster of the newly-launched gaming organization XSET.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the XSET team,” says Minna. “I was drawn to Greg, Wil, Marco, and Clinton’s vision for the brand from our first conversation and am honored to represent them alongside Kyle Van Noy, Kurt Benkert, and others. As a pro athlete and teenage girl who loves gaming, being part of an organization that embraces diversity and is representative of the gaming community is really important to me.”

Stess, who was set to represent Team USA in skateboarding at its Olympic debut in Tokyo before the Games’ postponement, has shown off her insane skills at a variety of competitions, including the X Games and Dew Tour. She took 3rd place at the 2019 USA Skateboarding National Championships Women’s Park Finals, 1st at the Mystic Skate Cup Ladies Bowl in Prague, and 2nd at La Kantera in Spain in 2018.

“Minna is the embodiment of the kind of talent we want to #reptheset,” said Marco Mereu, co-founder and COO of XSET. “We are creating a new kind of gaming organization that focuses on diversity and inclusion. Having an athlete like Minna on our team is the perfect fit for who XSET is. We can’t wait to see what she – and all of our talent – can do.
